Like everyone said, the resolution you shot video at is probably too low. Make sure you're shooting video at the highest quality setting. This is usually 640 x 480 pixels at 30 fps. If that still isn't enough for you, you can buy digital cameras that are better now. The Canon Powershot does 1280 x 720.
References :
http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/canon-powershot-tx1/4505-6501_7-32314643.html

Your digital camera probably has two resolution settings for your videos (something like 320X240 or 640X360). When you enlarge your videos to full size it distorts the video making it pixelated (or grainy).

You might want to check your digital cameras settings to see if you can raise your resolution past the ones mentioned above. The bigger the resolution, the less grainy it will become when you make it full size.
References :
this could be cause by out dated graphics card drivers or if your camera's mega pixels are to low that the computer makes the picture larger and uses fill in pixels that never existed and then makes the picture lower quality How this helps
References :
It is due to the size format of your camera with the comparison to the computer, which the computers is bigger and since your camera is not a video camera it is probally unfixable. If you got a video camera i do believe that the videos would be much clearer
References :
Hope I Helped
