How can I upload videos from my digital videocamera on to my computer?

I only have a USB cable attatchment. I can seem to save pictures, but there is no way to save a video of anything. The brand is panasonic. What do I need to do to get videos from the camera on to the computer?

If your camcorder records video to miniDV tape, then you need a firewire cable to connect the DV port (not USB) to the firewire port on your computer (not USB). As you have discovered, USB is used only fro transferring still images off the memory card.

If you computer does not have a firewire port, hopefully it has an available expansion slot so you can add one.

If your camcorder uses some other storage media, please provide the camcorder manufacturer and model number information in a new post.
