How can I improve the quality of videos on my pc screen?

How do I improve the quality of videos that I watch on my pc? I want to have a better quality of video when watching movies from or videos from different websites or streaming videos. Whats the main thing that makes this possible?

You can’t really improve streaming video on websites as the quality is controlled by the website source. It has nothing to do with your pc. Only way to falsely improve quality is to watch them on a smaller screen area (forcing a higher resolution). Like what I mean is don’t open full screen mode, as it lowers the detail.

  1. No. The quality of video was determined when it was made or copied. You cant make it any better than what it is.

  4. Using a free videoplayer called "Media Player Classic Home Cinema" (quite a mouthfull, I know), and turning on some shaders can GREATLY improve your movie experience. Shaders will let your videocard groom the video while youre watching it, removing whitewash, making colors more vivid, and sharpening edges.

If youre a movie fan, definately look into it.

Unfortunately this will not apply to web streamed videos like youtube.
