Where can i find a kit to switch an automatic trans to a manual?

I have a 1976 chevy 1/2 ton 4×4 that has a 350 turbo auto trans and i am going to be dropping in a 3 speed towing trany. Im just wondering where i can get a kit or what do i have to get and how much?

I’d say look into Summit Racing. They have an online store and their customer service is pretty good. You could call and talk to a real persson and they will tell you what you need and help you find the right parts.
What you need will depend on what comes with the tranny you are putting in. If you are getting it used out of another truck you might be able to get everything you need there.

u need to change a lot of parts incloding transmission too expencive. change the car.

well a borg warner t10 should do it and are readily available in wrecking yrds and even on ebay, or a world class t5(with gm input shaft of course)
youll like a 4 or 5 spd better, way more economy while pulling, especially if you have a low gear like 3.5< to 1
or do you mean an auto that doesnt shift auto? any (almost any) trans shop can do that 1.
donor car or truck. the t10 is definately tough enough, the t5 is aluminum case and might be a prob if you went hoopt’ing but probably not. then you’d have to use a camarofirebird bellhousing clutch etc. or fing a gm truck to fit and buy the whole thing cheap.
no kits so dont go to a wrecking yard and say can i buy a kit for 850, instead say ill give you 300 for that p.o.s.or a lil higher(c.o.l.a.)

go to a wreckers and buy the pedals for manual g\b or get them to set it up for you and a descent 5spd manual g\b
