How do I remove the door logos from my 96 trans am?
I want to remove the "trans am" logo from the door of my trans am. I would like to remove them so that I can paint them. Once the painting is done i would like to put them back on the car.

to answer your question, you can remove them with fishing line. just cut a 2 foot legnth of string, wrap it around your fingers, and then dig between the emblem and the door with a sawing motion.
however, i wouldnt recommend removing your emblems, then putting the same ones back on. youll never get the spacing the right or way no matter how hard you try. i would find the GM part # and buy it from the dealer or online. when you buy new emblems, they come on backing paper so the spacing and evenness is spot on.
if you want to take an easy, cheap option, yet still get the results you want, you can buy vinyl overlays for the emblems. just look it up on ebay
