A few notes.
The bolt pattern for the transmission is the same as the older four speed BUT the input shaft is 5/8 of an inch longer and needs a spacer plate OR a newer model bell housing like out of the truck. Oh by the way, the clutch out of the truck should work, too IF you have the right flywheel. (different than the 289).
AND the shifter on the truck will not line up with the hole in the floor board it is several inches forward, SO you will need a custom shifter handle.(They do make one for this.)
Or you could buy the whole 5 speed kit for the car.
References :
http://www.themustangshop.com/t5swap.cfm (note the T-5 shifter is not like the truck)
http://www.mustangmonthly.com/howto/173_0307_five_tranny_mustangs/index.html (again a T-5)
Here is the M5R2 for the truck: http://www.gearstogo.com/public_html/1133243270515-4566.jpg
(Mazda does make a shifter that goes on the tail but it requires another case) Like this:

It is doable but hard and expensive. You will need to weld the brake-clutch pedal assy in place, meaning you will need to remove the whole front dash assy, modify the trans cross member and if your trans is a top loader your in luck and wont have to worry about the shift linkage. And if you are thinking about dropping that '92 in the car, good idea, again it will cost a little and lots of work. Remember that engine is computer controlled and fuel injected, you will need the right ECM, wire harness and the right fuel pump. But that would be a great project car
Good luck
References :
Old Mechanic

ums I don't think the housing on the tranny will fit onto a 1966 302. I might be wrong. If it dont fit there shop that will custom make a bell housing to fit. If it going onto an older ford like your should be easy. Maybe a little fab here and there. you just need a clutch master, Paddle, lines. Than you sure be set.. Good luck on the Conversion...
