What does the rafael shark look like and how can you tell the difference between sexes?


I think you mean raphael catfish, platydoras costatus. It isn’t a shark and like alot of freshwater "sharks" the useage of the word shark is more of a selling point if anything. The raphael catfish is nowhere near being related to any species of true shark.
Determing sex is impossible…in fact, the raphael catfish hasn’t been successfully bred in captivity so far.

  1. I’ve looked on all the websites I could find to get you some info on the Rafael Shark.. I’m not sure that the name Rafael is an actual shark. Even Wikipedia.com didn’t have anything on them. Double check the name… Sorry.
