What defines and distinguishes the male and female sexes?

Putting physical*, social^ and cultural^ aspects to one side, what is the under pitting qualities that make a person their sex in this modern world of today?

* for the time being not including people with bisexual or hermaphroditic qualities
^ as these vary

I’m guessing that you are talking about a deeper metaphysical level than the obvious differences. If you go by just genitals then if you cut some guys bits off that doesn’t instantly make them a woman. Emotionally men and women are very different, probably caused by brain chemistry and hormones.

Men, for example, when dealing with emotions tent to be more analytical and retreat into themselves looking for answers.

Women on the other hand, can be more social with there emotions, looking for acceptance and support from a close group and not necessarily be after an answer.

    besides the obvious reproductive organs…
males and females have different amount of chemicals in the brain.
also the amount of hormones vary, and the type.
and bisexual wouldnt be the right word, it would be transgendered/transsexual AND/OR inter-sexed.
being bisexual doesnt have much of an effect on what your looking for.
