Are there computer printers that print documents AND photos or are they sold separately?

Looking for a 3-1 or 4-1 laser printer. But I’m wondering if I can get one that also prints digital photos?

Generally, laser printers do not print good photos. Furthermore, if you are looking for a 3-in-one laser printer, you can expect to pay at least $400 for one that prints in color.

Inkjet printers will print photos and documents. Some HP Officejet Pro printers will give you printing costs that are even cheaper than laser priters (the ones that use the 88XL ink cartridges).

You want to look for an all-in-one printer. Purchase the All-in-one based on the refill ink cartridges. Sometimes the cartridges cost more the the printer.
