However, Only the youngest leaves, shoots and buds are edible, if cooked a long time! If undercooked they are toxic! Believe it or not, it is actually edible. Harvest young shoots in the spring and boil them. Harvest flower buds and cook and eat like broccoli. It can be a HUGE weed.
