What kind of plant is this? Soft textured leaves, grow fast: http://flickr.com/photos/71876823@N00/2627778999
It’s Milkweed. Thanks for helping!
It is Common Milkweed.
However, Only the youngest leaves, shoots and buds are edible, if cooked a long time!
If undercooked they are toxic!
I steam broccoli for a very short time, so I would never "cook and eat like broccoli."
In fact, I would not eat Milkweed at all!
It’s common milkweed. Believe it or not, it is actually edible. Harvest young shoots in the spring and boil them. Harvest flower buds and cook and eat like broccoli.
It can be a HUGE weed. I’ve seen very large patches of it.
