   def a Pomegranate, i used to sit for ages eating the fruits with a needle, pips are fine to eat, though Pomegranate juice is nicer

   pomegranate = Chinese apple Notes: Cut through the pomegranate’s leathery skin, and you’ll find hundreds of pretty kernels, each with a tiny seed surrounded by ruby red pulp. You can eat the kernels, seeds and all, and they’re great as garnishes or sprinkled in salads. You can also press the kernels for juice and strain out the seeds. Wear an apron when working with pomegranates; the juice can stain your clothes. They arrive in markets in the late summer and early fall. Substitutes: grenadine (for the juice)

   Pomegranate.
   It symbolises ferttility and unity and also is reputed to be an aphrodisiac. I shall always remember the huge pomegranate tree in a vineyard I visited in Puglia in Italy. They were huge, voluptuous and red, like the size of the M26A1 fragmentation hand grenade. I plucked them and ate them, but kept some seeds to plant back in Asia. Now they have grown to the size of a small tree. Pomegranate juice is great and you can put them in salads too. Absolutely fabulous! Enjoy! {:-)
