What do people usually wear for family portraits?
My husband and I are taking our son for his first professional portraits he is 3 months and I was wondering what should he wear? He’s our first so I’m to familiar with this. We are also going to have a family portrait done too. I was thinking either beige pants or jeans and either white or black shirts/sweaters. Any advice on what would look best. Also for our sons pics I want a nude one of his cute little butt, is that weird or do most people do that too?
A lot of people do portaits w/ the baby’s bare bottom. We just had our first family portrait at the end of August (my daughter was 2 months). Dad wore a blue button down and my baby girl and I were in pink. The potraits by herself she was stripped down to her diapers and we had gauze all around her, so she looks like a little angel…

My aunt got nude pics of her son when he was a baby that isn’t weird. Just have him wear something similar to what the adult are wearing.

People do all kinds of things for family portraits…it just depends on your own personalities & preferences. I’ve seen a lot of black & white, khaki & white, jeans & same color shirts, sports team memorabilia, shades of the same color, etc…just be sure to pick outfits that don’t clash and that are complimentary to everyone.
