Therefore you cant take out the graphics card. However you do have PCI slot meaning that you can put a graphics card in yourself. As far as the graphics card selection goes, it will depend what are your daughter's needs. If she does play games or anything just get any 40 dollars graphics card will do. If I understand correctly that video card is integrated with the motherboard, if the video card stopped working then there is something wrong with the motherboard. You should consider taking it to a technician to check it out, however that is not necessary. It is may occurred that the GPU just went bad and leave them motherboard still working. But I'm not so sure of that. Most likely the motherboard in the computer will have atleast one PCI express x16 slot. That is where most new video cards will go. You may consider buying an nVidia 8800GT, 9600GT or 9800GT which are fairly cheap and don't perform bad at all. Installing a video card is not so hard, I recommend you watch some Youtube videos that may be able to help you. Note that installing a new component may require more power from the PSU, as you will need to upgrade PSU also.
