If the battle between the sexes does still exist, what is it over this time?

It seems such a waste to hold resentment for the opposite sex.
Rather, I think with less negative feelings between the sexes, we could all really help each other, and profit in many ways for our differences, instead of accumulating losses for the same.
Anybody agree?

Why can’t we make men smell better an be less annoying? I think most men and women these days are pretty reasonable and do get along pretty well, it’s the extremely rude, stupid, paranoid and small-penised amongst us who cause the problems. They cause problems everywhere they go! Too bad we can’t drug them and soak them in Febreeze or exile them all to Idaho. Oh well, it takes all kinds, I s’pose!

Is the rise in female perpetrated violence a sign of equality between the sexes?

Against both other women and men.

I’ve seen figures for this on some american police website link someone once posted ( i think) - it’s obviously true though, compared with older times.

Do feminists believe this is a favourable change in society as it shows equality????

Or rather do they/you think it is part of (or a result of) favourable changes in society regarding equality???

I’m a feminist.
And no I don’t think this is a sign of progression in female equality.
I think it is a sign of progression in the degregation of society. I think it as MLK views violence to be an act that strips humanity of any race, sex, or color of it’s dignity.
Woman, Men violence is wrong.

What do you call someone who is not attracted to either sexes?

Meaning….. You don’t like boys (or you just don’t want to), Or you don’t like girls (or you just don’t want to)
Is there like a label for a person like that or what, Just curious.

Asexual, although that refers to someone who is not sexually attracted to either sex. Emotional attraction can still happen.

Why is dating such a ridiculous dance of manipulation for both the sexes?

It is like a social mine field. Yikes. How do we even make it past a few generations is beyond me.

Courtship rituals. Check out the birds and bees, you will find some very strange rituals.

It’s exactly the same with humans. You describe it perfectly as a dance of manipulation. Each sex is checking out the other’s ability to make a good mate. Strength, beauty, grace, social skills, health, money. It’s all part of a balancing act. If we get it wrong, we suffer.

How do couples meet/date in Saudi Arabia if the sexes are segregated?

I read that unrelated couples are not allowed out together and alone.
Is this true? If so, how do they get to know each other? At their homes?
Please no rude answers. Thanks!

That’s pretty much right. The idea is you only ‘get to know’ people who your parents decide are appropriate. Arranged marriages, y’know.

Can a person be attracted to both sexes sexually but only one sex emotionally?

Should there not be a word for that?

I think I fall under that bracket.. I like both genders sexually, but I only want to date men. Lets make a word..

Talking with each other and getting each others opinion.

Is there scientific evidence to suggest that in multiple births, sexes are born in clumps?

Reviewing the birth order of larger families in my tree as well as other larger families I’ve noticed that certain sexes seem to be born in clumps. A mother’s first children may be mostly boys, then mostly girls, then most boys, etc. It seems rare that a mother give births to a boy, then a girl, then a boy, then a girl, etc. Is this just an odd coincidence, or is there scientific evidence that attests this?

Luck of the draw.

During any given pregnancy a woman has the exact same chance of giving birth to a boy as she does a girl. Since you’re asking about birth *order* rather than the total number of boys and girls a woman gives birth to, we have to look at each individual pregnancy.

Pregnancy #1: 50% chance for a boy, 50% chance for a girl.
Had a boy.

Pregnancy #2: 50% chance for a boy, 50% chance for a girl.
Had a boy.

Pregnancy #3: 50% chance for a boy, 50% chance for a girl.
Had a boy.

Pregnancy #4: 50% chance for a boy, 50% chance for a girl.
Had a girl.

Since we’re looking at each pregnancy individually, we cannot say that she’s more likely to have a girl than a boy simply because she’s already had ‘x’ number of boys.

Now we CAN say that OVERALL, she should have 50% male children and 50% female children. The woman actually has 75% male children and 25% female. Why? Small sample size. Just as it wouldn’t be odd to have flipped 3 heads and only 1 tails in four coin flips, it wouldn’t be odd to have 3 sons and only 1 daughter in four pregnancies. If the woman were to have 100 children where 75 were male and only 25 were female, then that would indeed be more than just a coincidence chalked up to sample size.
