How do I organize large family portraits on canvas?

I have a stack of family portraits on canvas that I am saving for my children. I am trying to figure out how to store them. There are also larger photos. The large boxes don’t seem to work because they don’t fit. I hate to just "stuff" them into the attic and I hate to stack them into my closet. I am trying to organize my closet. Please help.

Do you have a Container Store near you? If anyone has picture storage, it would be them. I also bet a mail store would sell picture boxes…you can buy some of those to protect the pictures and keep light off of them.

I’m a digital artist. Whats a good site for me to join, which will turn my digital art into prints and sell it?

I do digital pet art, and I’m looking for a site (like deviantarts print system) which will turn my art into prints/posters, and ship them to buyers. Does anyone know of a site like this?

Why don’t you just use DeviantART to sell you prints? Their rates are quite good.

Alternatively, you could try -
- http://www.canvasdezign.co.uk/
or
- http://www.yourimage2canvas.co.uk/
there is also this one…
- http://www.canvasrus.co.uk/

You can probably change the shipping address like most other sites from the billing address…

Hope this helps.

What would happen if the sexes lived seperate lives?

Just say the feminist separative movement got their way and men had to live on one side of the globe and women on the other.

Assuming that children were still born by whatever means.
How do you think each society would work out?
Say in a hundred years time?
What society would be the most advanced in technology, culturally, spiritually and contentment?

Just for fun don’t take it to seriously.
Funny answers will win, but be as outrageous as you like.

Now that there are no men to fight over, the women would get fat and lazy. Probably come up with some kind of crazy flawed communist society based on shopping malls. Paid holidays for shopping, yet forgetting that it takes workers to work the mall during those days as well.

With their new found morbid obesity, they’d probably all die of heart attacks and being unable to fit through their front door to get food.

Men would create new forms of technology and entertainment. Odds are, they’d create some kind of fembot to substitute for a woman (may not be quite as good, but you gotta make do with what you’ve got). Cleaning, cooking, sex… you know, the usual. Then we’d all just hang out and have fun. Work hard, play hard.

Could you imagine how much men would get done without wives complaining about a guy coming home late from work or not paying enough attention to her? Good lord, we’d definitely have flying cars by now.

And seeing as there’s no need to hoard cash to catch a hot chick, there’d be less greed and more brotherhood.

What is the best place in UK to have my digital photos printed on canvas?

Hi there,
I would like to print some of my photos onto canvas (3 sqaure shaped canvases 50x50cm). Who would you recommend in the UK to do this - i am a novice at using the Internet and also my digital camera so i need someone who can help me through the process. Thank you so much - this is my first Y! Answer question - thank you in advance - Tracey

The market for printing images onto canvases is getting quite saturated, so the prices are getting cheaper all the time.

There are loads of websites that will give you all the information you will require (image size, how to save your files, how to send files etc.) and prices (try a few sites and you’ll see how much they differ!).

If you are an internet novice, go to either the yahoo or google homepage and type digital canvas printing into the search bar (or click the link below where I have already done it for you). Once your search results appear, start clicking through the many results until you find one which has good prices. I would also suggest you look for one which has a support/enquiry service, where someone can talk you through all you need to know.

What is the probability that the team will win by more than X points?

Say a team has a probability W of winning a game. Also the probability of a team winning by X or more points is P+ and the probability of winning by exactly by X points is P.

As practical example say a team with a winning probability of 58%, and the probability of winning by X or more points is 74.55% and the probability of winning by exactly x points is 13.24%

The key factor is that we want the probability of a win by more than X, but we are given the probability for X or more and exactly X.

Probability of winning by more than X points = W * ((P+) - P)

This is because (P+) - P = the probability that they win by X or more points, but excluding the case where they win by exactly X points.

You multiply by W because they have to win first before they can win by X points.

Ok, chem students. What is the difference between a trans fat and a partially hydrogenated oil?

I thought they were related, so when I bought a margarine type product that said no trans fat on the label, I was surprised to read in the fine print that it does have partially hydrogenated oils.

A trans fat is a specific type of partially hydrogenated oil.

I can’t draw diagrams here, but this wikipedia article does a good job explaining the difference. The partially hydrogenated oils in your margarine are all in the cis configuration.

How to download youtube videos in original high quality?

I have uploaded many youtube videos and I also have downloaded many youtube videos. When I upload a video to youtube, it’s quality gets compressed. Even if you press the HQ button and view the video, it is not as much quality as my original file.

So the same happens for all the uploaded video right? So, is there any way in which I can download other videos in original high quality?

Thanks in advance.

The best and most secure way to download from YouTube is by using Firefox.

If you don’t have the Mozilla Firefox web browser yet, you can download and install it from here:
http://firefox.com

Once you have it, Google search "Download Helper" and install the Download Helper add-on into Firefox. Then go to Tools >> DownloadHelper >> Preferences in Firefox and adjust which file format you want the video converted to, the folder it will save videos to, etc.

After that’s done, go to the YouTube video using Firefox, and you should see the DownloadHelper icon start animating on Firefox’s toolbar. Click the drop-down arrow next to it and select the filename of the video.

Then Firefox will download, convert, and store the video in the folder you specified it to.

How do you upload videos from a video camera to your computer?

I recorded my video with a tape instead of the memory card. I installed the program that came with the video camera. I plugged the USB cable into the computer, but nothing happened. The computer didn’t detect the USB. I want to edit my video with Windows Movie Maker. Can I do this with a tape?

You can use Windows Movie Maker or other video editing software. Tape or card does not matter. Here’s the process:

. Connect the camcorder to the computer with the USB cable. Turn on the camcorder and put it in playback mode. Rewind to the beginning of your video and then put in Play (Standby) mode.

. Launch Windows Movie Maker and start the Capture Video function. WMM will send a command to the camera to start playing and copying (capturing) the video.

. Complete other steps in your project and save it.

If it does not start, look in My Computer and see if the camcorder shows as a removable drive. If not, you may have to reinstall the software.

Good Luck
