Where is a good place to get family portraits taken for a cheap price?
I dont’ want to have to pay large sitting fee prices.
Sears portrait studio’s
You can find coupons on line for a good price and if you have their smile savers plan you don’t pay sitting fees. I believe the plan is 14.00 for one year.
Portraits are usually 7 to 10 dollars for a 1 pose sitting or around 4 dollars a sheet for the other poses.

I’m apply for a college and I need to submit digital prints of art work and need help with some ideas.?
I have a few ideas of my own but I would just like know some opinions of what I should hand in my portfolio. And what you think the judges would like to see. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
I just started to get into photography and what I like to capture are landscapes at night so I just wanted to know if it’s good enough because this would be my first time submitting a portfolio.
Ooooh how exciting!! What kind of art do you do? I, myself, am into photography. As for your portfolio, I would put in some of the things you like to do the most. Portfolios need a lot of creativitiy, color, and varieties. We are having to make a portfolio in my photography class and she told us to google and write a paper on how to make our portfolios better. Unfortunately, I don’t know what kind of art you do and it might be harder for me to tell you how to make yours better. If you’re in photography, I could email you the paper I wrote.

How can you differentiate between the sexes of the common raven?
I have a raven that is several years old now, but am not sure what sex it is. It hasn’t lain any eggs, but I’m not sure if that is a definate sign.
Take him to your local brid bander…a professor of ornithology at your local college… he will blow on the feathers just above the anus in an upward direction, this patch of skin will have variations based on sex. A female will have a more fatty patch of padding in this area. A brood patch.

Website listing recipes depending on which ingredients you have?
Ages ago somebody on here mentioned a website on which you say which ingredients you have available, and it then provides you with recipes you can make using those ingredients. Does anybody know what this website is, or know of a similar one? Thank you for any answers!
Yes, it’s www.epicurious.com
Down where it says "find a recipe" type in an ingredient and click go.

Where do you get your wide screen type digital photos printed?
I use Walgreens photo for my digital printing. Lately I noticed that Walgreens doesn’t allow me to print long photos of 16 by 9 aspect ratio, like HD pictures. It forces me to crop to 8 by 6 or some other standard dimension. Anybody know a service that offers wide screen type prints?
Mpix or a pro lab should be able to do what you want.

How active would a Border Collie x Spaniel be?
I found a Border Collie x Spaniel and he is 2 years old and he is desperate for a home. How many hours would i need to excersise him. If i do get him i would plan on giving him a daily walk. How many hours would be enough excersise for him?) and i was planning on playing fetch etc in the backyard.
Oh sorry i didnt put this is.. Its from a shelter.
Border Collie-2 hours to keep them calm and satisfied.
Spaniels-Generally 1-2 hours.
So, I would say a 45 minute walk in the morning, half an hour play time in the afternoon, and an hour run at night. Yep, that outta do it!
You also need to provide heaps of mental stimulation. Obedience training, interactive toys, hiding food around the house, etc. BCs are incredibly smart and need something to do or else they become destructive.
I would bet money this dog is need of a desperate home because of his exercise levels. Most likely he doesn’t have much training and is destructive because of lack of mental stimulation.
Just realize he may be some work the first few weeks you have him. And also remember that this dog will be a huge commitment.
Good luck!

What’s the difference between cis and trans recombination?
I’ve got a genetics problem asking about what the genotype of certain flies in a test cross would be if the alleles were in the cis arrangement; and another question further along asking about trans arrangement.
The problem is I’m not really sure what the difference is (between cis and trans arrangement)!
Please help
"Cis" means one chromosome has both dominant alleles and its homologous has both recessive alleles.
==> AB/ab
"Trans" means one chromosome has one dominant allele and on recessive allele, and vice versa.
==> Ab/aB
These linkage phases will determine the proportion of parental and recombinant types if a crossover occurs between the two genes.

My videos from my digital camera appear grainy when playing them at full size on my computer?
When I download video from my digital camera onto my computer, the images appear fine, until I enlarge them to full size. At that point, they become very grainy. Is this because of the quality of video my digital camera takes? Is there any way to correct this on these videos, or future video, or am I best off just buying a video camera? Thank you.
Your digital camera probably has two resolution settings for your videos (something like 320x240 or 640X360). When you enlarge your videos to full size it distorts the video making it pixelated (or grainy).
You might want to check your digital cameras settings to see if you can raise your resolution past the ones mentioned above. The bigger the resolution, the less grainy it will become when you make it full size.

What free video editing software is available that can cut up video and movie it around in time?
I have one long video that is out of order and I need to move scenes around. I’d like to be able to do it frame-by-frame in certain parts if possible.
